Microgards now made by Wix to O'Reilly's specs??? Not good enough for me.

That doesn't look like the wix microgard filter, that looks like the old champ/fram filter. The wix microgards are pretty much the same as the proselect filter, not bad from the price. Not to mention theres some information on there on other filter comparisons that is not correct.

That's a old comparison, I remember seeing those comparisons 3yrs ago when I first found out about this forum. The microgaurds look exactly like the napa pro select filters now.

Microgard's are now made by Wix.

If you are at O'Reilly's, make sure you open the box and look inside to see if it's a Fram or a Wix clone. At some locations, the box with the Fram-made Microgard's were re-labelled to reflect the current part numbers.

Yeah that is not a Wix version, the felt endcaps suggest an old Champ Labs filter who made Microgards a while back, but definitely not a Wix.

"Fiber board" end cap description if accurately identified by FF makes the MG shown the previous Fram made version. Coming before the Champ made and current Wix made. Tapping plate also doesn't appear to be a Champ made plate but rather Fram.

Current MG either most similar to Napa Silver or ProSelect. If I had to speculate based on the previous O'R filter specs, I'd pick ProSelect. Auto Extra is another very similar/same Wix made for.

You could be right on that, the endcaps look more like felt than Frams "engineered media" which would make me think Champ, but that bypass valve definitely looks like a Fram version.

I think we've all agreed it's not a Wix anyway.
