Stacked up a bunch of filters and did a rapid dissection of some of them. Punched through with a small flat chisel and cut around with tin snips. Cut Puro classic, Pureone, Bosch (I think premium) an STP, Driveworks, and Motorcraft FL1A. No media tears, no noticeable debris in any of the elements. The only filter that was impressive was the FL1A. Large element, apparently better media than the Puro Classic equivalent (I think the number is 3001) The can might have been thicker too. It appears the FL1A is noticeably better than the Puro Classic for about the same money. Very good value filter.
