Crosby stills and nash

I’m not old enough to remember them when they were good but I love them on vinyl. Anyone here enjoy this band?

One of my favorite groups of the late ‘60s early ‘70s. High school/College. One of the many albums I bought at that time and still have. Some of the survivors…

There was a line in their 1969 song 'Teach Your Children Well'; 'those who are on the road must have a code that you can live by...' It rattled around in my head the total time as I was on a dicey coast to coast motorcycle ride sometimes with strangers. I met Jerry Garcia in the middle of nowhere Utah on that trip.

So yeah, CS&N spoke to me.

Crosby Stills and Nash/Crosby Stills Nash and Young are one of my favorite bands of all time. If you like them listen to Stills and Young in Buffalo Springfield, the band where they got their start together. Also in that band was Richie Furay, another very talented singer/musician who went on to found Poco.

I have many of their songs on my playlist and Pandora thumbprint. Southern Cross and Suite-Judy Blue Eyes probably most.

And remember "teach your children well" and "if you can't be with the one you love honey, love the one your with"

I have an embarrassing story to tell.

The week before courses started at the University of Saskatchewan used to be (maybe still is) called Frosh Week - a week for first year students to get organized, to get to know the campus and have a little fun before the hard work begins.

One night during Frosh Week my roommate and I went to a huge dance at the sports arena. There were a few hundred people there. We stayed there through the evening and had an okay time, not great, but sort of okay. As we were walking home we passed the Memorial Union Building (the MUB) where we could hear a pretty good band playing. We stopped and listened for a while and could have gone in (for free) but we were pretty tired so we headed home instead. The band was - you guessed it - Buffalo Springfield. So I've heard Buffalo Springfield in person but never seen them.
