The Alan Parsons Project

That era Parsons was pretty much soft rock, their earlier stuff was pretty hard/experimental. I started with Tales of Mystery and Imagination which is a salute to Poe and is pretty rockin. Pyramid and I robot were prog rock . Eve and Turn of a Friendly Card were more poppy. After that they kind of morphed into soft rock/adult contemparary. But its all pretty good.
After Pink Floyd, Yes, ELP etc era the synth, recording and production by then seems to be nice plateau before all the nutty loudness stuff with CDs. Parsons did it really good. I'm thinking no need for "remastering" and all that, if your are lucky enough to have well cared for original LPs. I don't think I have any on CD to compare though (I have a lot of CDs).

That said, UHD streaming sounds good, so I'm being lazy and not cleaning LPs or searching CDs.
