powerboost has about 24.5K on it and Ford is doing buy 3 get one for $1. factory hankook tires have about 7/32 on them. i was gonna wait till september to do the deal but if figure if i wait just like everything else prices are gonna go up. so i decided to pull the trigger. i have always been a continential tire guy. just love how quiet and long they last and with missouri weather you can have all 4 seasons in one day. at first i ordered he continential terraincontact HT then the sales manager put the AT tires on his 21 F150 and they just look so good. so i sent the HT tire back and got the AT tire. 60 vs 70k warranty. i hope i like them he said they are nice and quiet. ill post pics of the tires on the truck tommrow when I put them on. gonna sell the hankooks on marketplace to get some money out of them and put it towards the new tires.

I have had 2 sets of those tires and while there was one minor gripe I had, they were SO GOOD at many things that it’s almost scary for me to try anything else.

1. Their wet traction is superb
2. They are quiet
3. No issue towing loads
4. They handle extremely well. Tirerack calls them “athletic.”
5. They ride well
6. Good as a light duty all terrain, they can handle some terrain with tearing themselves up.
7. Comparable to Michelin LTX M&S in the snow. (Literally did a side by side comparison here a year ago).

They may ride a little soft in their first 1000 miles until the rubber gets a few heat cycles under them. Looks like you’re getting these in the 20” wheel size so it probably won’t matter. I had them in an 18” size and added a few psi until they were where I wanted it.

I think you’ll be pleased with them.

Had them on my 17 Tundra and other than they seemed to always be out of balance for whatever reason. They were excellent tires. Best in the rain of any tire ive had

i balanced the tires myself and they balanced out good. The rear tires look a little more weight then i wanted and they drive pretty smooth. they feel a little soft but i think its just because they are brand new and need to wear a little bit to stiffen up. i will say though they are heavy. i can just feel it driving (less is hybrid mode for sure) and gas milage is down a bit. but its a truck that i only use for around town and i got my focus for my 90 miles a day work trip.

My son put them on his truck and they’re outstanding. No noise and somehow improved his mileage over the bald wranglers they replaced.

sooooo im switching tires to the continential allterrain contact HT's more than likely. I love these tires but the 3-4 mpg drop is killer with these gas prices. there is no rolling restance with these tires and it just feels heavy when crusing or accelerating.

geez. Continental A/T’s have some of the highest rolling resistance. How bad are Wranglers then?
Their AT is what I had most of my time with the F150. They aren’t a heavy tire, and they didn’t ride like they were stiff. It surprises me that they would have a poor rolling resistance - was pretty close to a highway tire.

I wonder how they compare against the Terragrappler G3.

I think Tire review guy has a test of A/T's with those parameters. I think Continental was the worst.
It is not that they are heavy, I think it is design and compound.

its night and day difference driving it wont just roll when letting off the gas and just feels like i gotta press the pedal more to take off. and normally it goes into hybrid mode more once i let off the gas but it slows down so quick i gotta hit the gas and go i cant just cruise in electric. its dropped my mpg from like 22-21 to barley getting 19.

I want to say that with my 18 f150 2.7, new it was around 22.5 mpg. Over half of my time with it was with the conti ATs, and stayed pretty consistently at 20.9 unless I was towing. That is in a 275/65r18, oem size, no lift or level kit. One could derive a ~1.5 mpg hit, maybe, for me, though I for some reason never equated it to the tires.

This may steer me away from them on the Tacoma, which will need tires probably around this winter.

Very nice tire. I ran a set on a 2015 Explorer in 20's. They didn't last overly long but then again no tire ever did on this vehicle. I have now put on another set on the same vehicle my son now drives in 18's. I got a great deal on them along with a rebate.

i really love the AT's but there is no rolling restance. im really hoping the HT tires do me well. hopefully i can get them put on next saturday if i get my truck out of the body shop.
