I put these on today. I drove them around a bit for lunch and other runs and found them to be harsher as far as absorbing bumps. This I expected and it is still way fine, just more than the Exclaims.
Then I took them on a drive after work.
OH
MY
DOG
First sharp turn to test them out my jaw straight fell off. I expected a difference coming from tires I had purchased almost exclusively on price, but not like this.
Steering response was MUCH crisper. Even going from Exclaim UHPs with 4/32 to the Hankooks, which, were not even 50 miles old, shocked me. So much more so I used more initial steering input than I needed and was taken off guard. I was not expecting it to actually go that direction so quickly. I had told myself only one turn like that until I got them about 500 miles. Well that went out the window. As I continued driving them I found them much more predictable and as a result I drove the car harder than I ever have. They seem to regain traction pretty quickly. I took a turn on to a highway onramp and matted it a bit too soon. The rear kicked out a bit on downshift, then they hooked up. I also tried matting it from a stop, a situation which with the Exclaims and open diff I would be burning most way through 1st. RR did break initially but regained traction at about 20mph. I did that cold and they just got better from there.
