I ended up getting a Pentius PLXL7317 to try out for my next OCI which is some time away. However, people did mention to check QC closely as a result of the single bad QC report that was shared on Amazon.
I'm new to this "inspect your oil filter" thing, as historically I would just buy the M1 from WalMart and install without thought.
What exactly am I looking for in defective filter? with the exception of uncut core holes, burs, rattle when shaking? Are most defects pretty obvious?
Was skeptical at first to try Pentius PLXL since I've never heard of it, but looking through some reviews on BITOG, it looks like it's getting a lot of praise for it's quality. Curious how much more this will help to clean my oil compared to the M1-110A, as that is
a concern I'm currently chasing.
