Tire of oil forum....
Iam sure there are alot of concealed weapon permit carriers on this "Real man" site. How often does everyone really exercise the right and carry a gun all the time?
I do. But I advise training. We don't have mandatory firearms training in this state but I recommend it and not some simple little gun handling course. Seattle Firearms Academy minimum 3 FAS levels.
"Real man site"? what's this [censored]? I know women who can outshoot me.
Iam sure the policemen on this site do but noone is gonna hassle you, because you can flash a badge and everything is cool.
You notice the lights. Some do, had a couple, I told them it's the law period.
Recently a woman was stabbed to death in a Dennys in Orlando, a waitress, in a tourist part of town( not a bad part) by her Ex husband and no one helped or stopped or even attempted to stop the guy from leaving, hes still at large, this is with a full restruant. Most callers to the radio show said they carry a gun and would have stopped him, but I have to ask myself how many non law enforcement personal really carry a gun.
First, you must be a "good witness" you are not obigated to help civilians. How many people are in the area? Do you have family with you? Has the gunmen directed a grave threat towards you? Do you know how and when to use lethal force? Can you get one on one with the gunmen? Lots to think about in split seconds. As a carrier you protect yourself or your family during a grave threat. Bad guy can run at you full speed average 1.3 seconds 21 feet. Can you react? I can't tell you because everybody with training reacts differently.
Public safety, good training, and one on one is important.
I would have attacked that man with or without a gun, probably a chair would have been my first choice, but I would not have let that man stab that woman to death in front of me without a confrontation.
That's your choice and it could end up successful or bad for you. I would have to be there and above I listed split second decisions. W
