I buy the white bag. Is the black bag similar? Price? In flavor?
I only saw the white bag Peru at our Costco, not the black bag. I was quite curious.

They also had whole bean DECAF Major Dickason. I NEVER see that at stores. It was not quite as low cost as the regular, but I should have bought that and the Peru, but I'm pretty flush with coffees now.

I did two shots of the Peet's M.D. this AM

Both 14g, same grind I use for my custom blend. Open cup, screen top.

1- 30ml - awesome, smooth, velvety, lacks some depth compared to my blend
2- 40ml - smooth, slight earthy, more depth no harshness

I dare say, very very good.

The Mt. Comfort, white, is around $20 for 2.5lbs. and shows up a few times a year. It was recently on sale for $14. The Kirkland Signature, black, is ~$15 for 2lbs and is organic. Only shows up briefly once or twice a year. They are similar in flavor and roast profiles.

So the black bag vs the white Mt. Comfort one. I find both to be quite good medium roast.

The black Kirkland bag was on the shelf for about two weeks 4 to 6 months ago.l haven't seen it since.

Mt Comfort was on sale earlier this month. It is still on the shelf for $19.xx and has the * on the price tag indicating it will not be restocked.

I tried both and thought they were good values for the price point.

Yes. whole bean, but it must vary by location. When I travel to SoFlo, I buy the Lavazza Espresso Italiano 100% Arabica (whole bean) for my FIL; he has a Saeco.
Ima watch for it..........I have around 5-6 kilos of coffee right now. Wife took notice. That said the Costco over the border is not that far! I should check that.

Also, seems like some good coffees for very good prices. What is going on?

I agree, the price of coffee is inconsistent at the moment. Last year, I noticed that Lavazza is now roasting selected beans is the USA 🇺🇸, I wonder if this affecting the prices @Pablo? Lavazza typically roasted in Italy 🇮🇹 and the 🇪🇺 .

I went back and bought a sack of the white. Excellent bean aroma can’t wait until tomorrow morning!
Interesting coffee for sure.

I would say it's a very light medium roast. I did three draws to get it right. They first was truly over extracted.

The second cup was good, 16 grams and 25 mls. Not like a dark roast, but light body and spritely. Good.

Then I made an Americano with 16g and 30 mls. Fabulous!
