Tried this Starbucks pod this morning - the taste is decent. The pods seem well made.

If we're talking about their brewed coffee sold in their shops, I'd agree. But their Nespresso pods aren't bad, IMO.Starbucks is definitely overpriced, bottom of the crate swill
Not true. Double shot Americano made with their Italian roast is not even close to bottom of the crate. I think you are just repeating some people here.Starbucks is definitely overpriced, bottom of the crate swill
Same with their espresso. I have not had their brewed coffee. If we're talking about their brewed coffee sold in their shops, I'd agree. But their Nespresso pods aren't bad, IMO.
I haven’t bought their bean or ground coffee. But the swill in their shops is garbageIf we're talking about their brewed coffee sold in their shops, I'd agree. But their Nespresso pods aren't bad, IMO.

The Onyx looks interesting. I may have to try it as it's talked about favorably quite a bit online. IIRC, it is available in some Sam's club locations in the vicinity of the roaster.Small, one-person roaster out of Jackson, TN. that I buy from when I’m passing through on my way to Memphis: View attachment 262726
And then these 3 are from Onyx Coffee Lab out of Rogers, AR. Onyx is widely recognized as one of the best roasters in the country.
This Onyx-roasted Ethiopian single origin is one of the best coffees I’ve had. Tea-like body, and tastes like Earl Grey tea with milk and honey! Mind you, this is black coffee!

Which stuff from Costco? The Onyx looks interesting. I may have to try it as it's talked about favorably quite a bit online. IIRC, it is available in some Sam's club locations in the vicinity of the roaster.
I recently finished a bag from a micro roaster named Fogline in northern California based on Reddit chatter. It was really good and l will buy from them again. They roast after ordering so it's fresh. And they put the roast date on the bag.
I am working through a 2 bag purchase l got on sale at Costco so l won't be buying any good stuff until this is gone. This stuff is highly rated on Costco, but doesn't smell good, hardly bubbles during bloom which makes me think it is already stale and the taste is mediocre at best. There's also a lot of junk in the grounds that l don't see with SW or Fogline. No roast date on bag either. I estimate the beans were 3+ months old based on the best by date. My grand plan to save backfired. The wife is even complaining.
Unless l give a bag away, l won't have anything to share for at least a month.
Is that from Giant? The Peruvian is really good!

I've not tried that one. I think it's a fairly new blend as I don't recall seeing it before.PHILZ. SF Bay Area local favorite. This ether will not put you to sleep. Heavy molasses and smoke. Slow, cold brewed. Iced.
