I was in TJ's yesterday and noticed this coffee on the shelf. I used to drink it fairly often a few years ago and decided to try it again. It's about 2/3 the price of Peet's, so that's a nice feature.

I recently purchased these three just because the bags are cool. The coffee is good but the roast is a little lighter than I was expecting. I prefer French/Italian Roast but these would be great gifts for med/dark drinkers who are also Crue fans.

Love this coffee, Costco stopped selling it so we ordered it direct from the company.
Just came in this week, 6- 2 Lb bags = 12 Lbs, arrived in less than a week.
Highly recommend to anyone want a good strong solid full tasting coffee without being bitter.

Stopped by the Dillanos roasting plant on Friday to get my usual two bags and saw this new coffee on the counter.

The receptionist invited me to try a sample they had just brewed up. This is a really nice cup. Fruity and with a nice body. Unfortunately they didn’t have any available for sale yet but on my next trip in I will pick some up. It is the latest in their limited production series.

If you are a light roast drinker I recommend this one.

Costco's coffee selection is definitely regional with the exception of their own Kirkland varieties. Never saw this one in the local Costco. However, they do stock Mayorga Cubano roast which is very good and they always have Peets Major Dickasons blend too. Between the Kirkland Colombian Supremo, the Mayorga and the Peets...I'm pretty satisfied but this one seems interesting.

I have reached the conclusion that (too much) caffeine is terrible for me and my body type. Age (64.5) and hereditary. I know, I'm a lightweight!

I love coffee. The ritual, the flavor. The moment.

I like deep, oily beans but like almost not acid. I do not like over roasted, charred beans.

Been doing blends now for a couple years. It's fun and lately been hitting a sweet spot.

I even involve some Starbucks de-caf. Using some of their espresso and Pike Place decaf beans in my blends at 10-20% works well. Lately I have bought Kivu decaf beans to moderate the cost of Talking Crow decaf beans. Also, yes I do use sometimes up to 25% regular beans in my blends but above that I have issues (feels, BP, eyes, urinary).

I need to go brew a cup!

I always wondered about the Kirkland Colombian supreme, at one time we tried the already ground version of it and wasn’t too crazy about it, I wonder if the bean version is different as we use a coffee grinder now.
We don’t have Peets here, not sure about the Cubano.
The Costco coffee bean selection near us has definitely gone downhill, the selection more limited to Starbucks beans, Costco Colombian and Don Pablo.
The Don Pablo is acceptable to us but we like the one I posted a picture of more, Enough so that we are paying a higher price than we were paying in Costco by buying a direct from the coffee Company.

We tried French roast coffee but we’re not fans of it, it’s too bold and strong for us.

The one above that I posted a picture of is still a good strong coffee but without being bitter and overwhelming. Just for the record we are no coffee experts but can only relay what we really like.
We have tried so many different coffees over the years and really satisfied with this one. It is bold for sure without being bitter.

not a fan of charbucks coffee.

Some of their limited edition stuff is ok
but all their normal on tap coffee tastes burnt and more burnt.
Yeah, I’ll never touch overpriced Starbucks swill. My Lavazza and Chock full of nuts coffee I’ll use always

Are you guys talking about the "coffee" from Starbucks outlets or are you talking about beans? The way you write - I don't think you have tried the actual beans. Closed minds, broad brush strokes and all that.

Their Italian roast whole beans are not that bad, Pike place not bad either. Their decaf whole bean Espresso is top shelf, if you can find it. And guess what, when on sale prices at grocery stores are not bad. I want to try their Brazil, but it's elusive in store and even stands.

But for sure Charbux French Roast beans are cremated beyond recognition.

Starbucks does over roast their beans in general. It is true that some of their coffee is not too bad but part of the equation for me was their taking over of the smaller roasters in the Seattle area. Torrefazione was a favorite of mine for years until Starbucks bought them out. Starbucks became the local version of Beatrice.

It’s not just Starbucks either. Peets and Stumptown got absorbed by the big JAB Holdings.

Regarding the bold dark roasts, that has been a PNW preference for some time. Sitting in a cafe on a cold rainy day you want something with a kick. The rest of the country doesn’t understand and they have their preferences as well.

Coffee is for scallywags 😂. I used to like Dunkin' donuts coffee but after my severe case of acid reflux I can no longer drink it so I am very bitter to all of you who can. Now it's Earl Grey tea 😭
