New here. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on an oil type/bread they recommend for Class A motorhomes? I plan on using synthetic, but not sure if there is a better brand given the load the engine is under, and the infrequent use in a motorhome. I'm also towing a jeep most of the time. Thanks.

As an owner of a 1995 Ford F53 w/460 gas engine, I'd like to point out the 460 Big Block used a flat tappet cam until the end of production (1997). Ford's new "Godzilla" engine is modern (though I've read it has an appetite for camshaft and lifters for some odd reason).

0w40 of M1, Castrol or Redline varieties.
Given your towing and can weigh north of 30k. Once a year oil changes.
How much DOES it weigh?

valvoline EP HM 5w-30 if you want to stay within the vehicle warranty specifications.
if not, M1 0w-40.

Oil temps are probably north of 230*. 0w40 is a safe bet. If they are 190-225* a thicker IE euro 5w30 synthetic is good. If you can't see oil temps, just use a 0w40.

So far it's been great. I only have about 6K miles though. The last 2K have been pretty hard on it with high temps and a lot of time at 3700 to 4300 RPM pulling hills with no issues.
