Its always a good idea to have a disposable camera in your glove box for these unfortunate incidents. It could pay a big dividend if you needed it, especially in a small town where some cop could change the whole appearance of an accident by changing a few words?

+1 for cell phone cameras, used mine in a parking lot accident that would have gone the other way if not for a few quick snaps right as I got out of the car.
