Can you even buy a "bad" oil anymore? Even cheap syn is great!

Don't confuse minimum cert oils with moderate / maximum dispensations.
Just because the cert exists on both quarts of oils, doesn't mean they are built the same.
nor would I take any oil to the limit. Too many variables and that’s another reason I wouldn’t over pay for oil. Im not interested if the oil has another 100, 1000 or 2000 miles left in the additive pack. Get good oil priced reasonably and change it responsibly we all know the good ole rule of thumb 3,000-3 month for severe service, 5,000-7500 or 6 months if it’s an easy contender on oil and gets highway miles.

It was a one time clearance rack deal??? I used it up all in some crown vic cop cars that I was flipping lol
This stuff?

I was referring to these!!! 7-11 in DFW had these for YEARS and I caught them on clearance when they were being phased out and switching to that Lucas you posted

I didn't trust this brand so inside the mod 4.6 they went before new owner picked it up 🥴 🤪

Actually the Petroleum Quality Institute of America tested those oils a couple of times…

Perfectly good motor oil in there…

That’s a fact. Proven by the PQIA test results.

Not the same oil…..

Look up that oil …. The one you got…

On the PQIA webpage..

It’s there.

A legitimate made oil with the right viscosity and additives in that motor oil…

I mean, the reality is that Costco fully synthetic at 3 bucks ish a quart (as an example) when on sale is likely fine, especially with shorter OCIs.
