Can I trust ordering from walmart?

The price at napa is $220 (on sale for $135 right now)
The price on Valvolines website is $176
Walmart has it for $113

How can this be real oil for the price?

To make matters more confusing the walmart page says its sold and shipped by "Valvoline Global" I tried contacting Valvoline customer service but apparently they dont respond to customers.

Napa is at $135 here, and Walmart is $114. I think you’ll be fine ordering from Amazon. I would not give a moment’s thought to whatever Valvoline has on its website. It’s a solid price, and would buy it if I had need for R & P.
 
Yes you can. WM seems to help Valvoline clearance stuff they have too much of.

I got cases of 0w20 last year through WM on a similar deal.

And if you do the math, it's like getting a 5 quart jug for $28.50, which you can beat.

I was worried maybe it was fake or diluted oil because the price is lower than anyone else but yeah its still not really that cheap.

Im tired of paying $35-40 per 5qt so was looking to get some bulk purchasing in.

By the way im on my 3rd OCI with R&P. Each interval getting longer and the oil is coming out cleaner. The first change @300mi was as dark as a normal 5k oil change.

Yeah it seems apparent they dont place a priority on selling directly to customers. It will be really nice to have a nice stock of this oil.
 
I order my oil from Walmart. Two 5qt jugs gets free two day shipping. I ordered the wrong size wire shelves and called to return them. They issued a credit and said keep the shelves.
 
Everybody knows Valvoline, QS and especially Mobil1 make a special, diluted, more worser brew for Wally World than what you can buy from your local parts place. It just makes sense, right?

And the Michelins you buy at the Mercedes dealer are more better than the ones from Wheel Works! I got that first hand from a MBZ owner...
 
Depends. I know Amazon has items that are sold directly by the manufacturer, but where they warehouse the items and they're subject to their free shipping requirements. Big names like Anker and even smaller companies. I've seen brand name stuff sold on the Walmart website where I knew they carried some version of that item (maybe a different size) at Walmart stores, but available for online order with delivery and not pickup. They don't necessarily state whether or not they're shipped by Walmart, the manufacturer, or an intermediary.

I've ordered a few things from Walmart online for site to store pickup. But they were typically items they didn't have in stores, but were tremendous bargains. I think they discontinued site to store. Trying to find the pickup location at a particular store wasn't easy.

It sounds like ugly rumors. I do know some companies make Walmart specific product but no engine oils. They have their own oil brand already.


Is the Mobil 1™ oil sold at Walmart the same?​


“I have a question about the 5-quart Mobil 1™ motor oil jugs I buy at Walmart. Is the oil in the 5-quart Mobil 1™ 5W-30 jugs the exact same oil that is in the 1-quart containers sold elsewhere? I ask because I have heard that Walmart gets a cheaper formulation made to their specs in order to allow them to sell for less and you do not get the same quality of oil when you buy it. When I compared the labeling on the 1-quart containers at Advance Auto Parts to the 5-quart jug I got at Walmart, I noticed that the 1-quart container says ACEA A1/A5 B1/B5 and the 5-quart does not say ACEA at all. Both have the HTO-06 and are, I believe, both API SN and ILSAC GF-5. Frankly, I doubt that any company would risk their reputation by packaging a different product for a chain store under the same name but I thought I would ask.”

You are right: The formulation and quality level of our motor oils are the same wherever the product name is the same, regardless of the package size in which it is sold. The difference in ACEA claims you are referring to sound unfamiliar to us. Was it the exact same product in both cases?

I had no idea the "Havoline Pro-DS LIFELONG" line was (1) an exclusive deal between Walmart and Chevron AND (2) that it's a High Mileage oil too.
