Since the OP had nothing bad to say in his remarks about Harley's....or any bikes....and was just showing the motorcycling people here his nice new bike, I think it was really rude of the Harley riders to disparage his choice. It's a nice bike...period.
And since the Harley bragging continues...I would like to post some interesting facts about the brand and how they improved Harley quality. You Harley folks need to learn a few things. One interesting FACT was that the corporate people at Harley went to the Honda factory to see why the bikes were so reliable. They learned about Honda's "TQM" (Total Quality Management) program....and copied it. Yes...that's right Harley people. They had to go to a Japanese bike maker to improve the poor reliability of Harley bikes. The next step was to lobby confess to impose a temporary import tariff on all non-U.S. made motorcycles coming into the country. It WAS 4%...and Harley lobbied to raise it to 40%!! So Harley guys...looks like they could not even compete unless they got governments help!
Here is an interesting article on the subject....and by the way, Harley's are STILL far behind other makers in reliability.
