Shouldn't matter ... it's there to keep the pleats more ridged and prevent them from deforming under the force of oil flow.Doesn't the mesh need to be inside the media?![]()

Yes, and it is, very unusual, and the specs reflect a purolator format of using the 3500 series. The Toyota Denso style bypass parts are better than the common hooks on the springs seen on out of business until China takes over Fram. Only have seen that metal cap on Toyota oil filters.Doesn't the mesh need to be inside the media?![]()
Bosch could make them in a factory here and look just as good. Toyota and Honda and others make the whole car or truck in America. My Purolator Boss recently made look excellent. If not for the black glue mess the lower tier look good too.Looks better than anything the American factories have put out in the last few years.
Go with a Premium Guard Inc made filter, and you will get consistency and not play the Whack-a-Mole oil filter game any longer, lol. You'd think the whole Bosch lineup would be the same.
I've got 3300 here and though I didn't disect it, looks way different inside with a flashlight.
This is the recent change. Previous batch I got was different again.
Now GM PF64 filters are changing/ not available. Getting sick of this.
