Topic run ~5400 miles-1 year on 3.0L Accord, ~131k miles on vehicle at time of service.
Out: Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 0w20, topic Bosch Premium (US) 3323
In: Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w20, Bosch Premium (US) 3323 Made 1/2020

Results here same as all the others I've run, c&p. The last one from RA purchase (2 lots of 6) installed this time, ~$4.00/each including shipping. No long term plans to run Valvoline Restore and Protect, just thought give it a try, perhaps some cleaning. Next oil likely to be the Valvoline Hybrid oil I got on AAP close out price. Vehicle burns no oil, knock wood

Wow Those threads (or lack of them) do not look good from they eyes of a retired machinist. Very skimpy with the material there.

2 to 2-1/2 threads does seem a bit on the low side compared to other oil filters. As long as it doesn't blow off or come loose must be good enough.

I venture to say since joining bitog I've conservatively used 100+ of these Puro made 14610 applications including PL/L/TL and Bosch Premium 3323 variants with c&p on multiple Hondas and Nissan with zero engagement, cross thread or leak issues. So I'll go by my significant anecdotal experience with them. Otoh, you should likely choose another brand that suits your "retired machinist" eyes.

Did you spray this with carb cleaner or something before taking pictures? Hah
No, why would you ask? Beyond some media wicking, to be able to see the pleat end in potting, and pleating that's it. If you go back look all my c&p of topic topic 3323 filter and many others, you'll see all much the same c&p practice.

Tough crowd here today. :)

That anti-drain back seal looks spotless.
