This landcruiser got into an accident and the frame separated from the body .

WOW! Never seen more than a few mounting bolts shear in an accident. Maybe poorly heat treated batch of bolts got to the factory? Or just the circumstances were unusual and not a structural failure. Not a structures guy, so my speculation is worth what you pay for it.
Sounds like a good thing. The demolition of those items is from the dissipation of crash energy, thus making the stop less sudden, and hopefully less injury to the occupants.I have seen so many front - wheel drive sedans (happens to be all I own these days), when involved in
certain type front end crashes, the entire front of the car is just about separated from the body at the
fire wall. Very sobering to see what can happen in a second. Body from firewall back just sitting there with the
entire front end, engine and transaxle off to the side. YIKEs
Looks stock? no body lift?
Wonder if there are mitigating circumstances, like recent body off repairs, and it just wasn’t done right.
