Can tell you from working in the collision industry, that there are a ton of near new American totals, that are bubble gummed back together and exported for over seas markets. I used to know a dude who would buy near new chevy truck totals, ticker tape them back together as cheaply as possible, and export them to be sold in Africa. Made an absolute killing.
