Fix the stuff you’re selling today. I would be more confident in new EVs if not so many recalls on current product.

Yep that would be smart, but looking at Ford's stock price and the quality of their products they aren't doing too many smart things imo.

Hopefully the announcement will be scaling back on EV's, making more hybrids, and keeping the Escape in production (since it will no longer be replaced with an EV).

It doesn't. And that's why Hydrogen hasn't made headway into consumer transportation.

Hydrogen is better applied to industrial processes where you have centralized infrastructure and facilities for storage and conveyance. Big oil isn't going anywhere anytime soon. We use oil and gas for far more than fuel. In addition to fueling our vehicles, it's a process input for plastics, fertilizer, pharmaceuticals and a variety of other goods. Whatever doesn't get turned into fuel will just get turned into something else. Hoping for hydrogen over electrification in transportation is like hoping for fusion instead of solar and wind.

Scaling back on EVs? They already don't make many.

As much as I love EVs I think they need to make everything they sell as gas only right now available as a hybrid and they’d do much better.

But an affordable smaller EV would be great. Just not sure they can do that profitably any time soon?

Ford has two massive EV facilities that are well into construction. Blue Oval City in Stanton TN and Blue Oval SK ON in Glendale, KY. These plans won’t be just pipe dreams.
