Best oil for a 17 y/o Honda Civic?

Wow, it was down to about 1.5 quarts in the sump, given that it only takes 3.6 qts to the full line, ...enough to run without an oil pressure light, but it was down a lot if you had to put in 2 quarts. I guess it should be basically OK though. ....

This vehicle isn't picky about what oils to use. I'd grab a 5 liter jug of Mobil1 0w40 or Castrol 0w40 for cheap at Walmart and run that for 1 year with a Fram Ultra oil filter, regardless of miles, just annual oil changes with a high-specification, high-performing bargain from Walmart, the same oil Porsches & Mercedes gets. ... And watch the oil level, like check the dipstick in the morning every Saturday and keep the oil between the Add and Full lines. The sump takes about 3.5 quarts, and don't overfill, so just put in 3 quarts of fresh oil after draining, and gradually top off a little at a time until it reaches the full line. Best strategy here.

google reset 2002 honda civic oil light ..... There are instructions on it here:
 
Use the high mileage 5w20 and if nothing leaks or falls out, stick with it
