Almost out of Nu Finish. What's another idiot proof product that's cheap? Duragloss? Collinite?

Hoping to try something else after I run out of Nu Finish. For daiy drivers and I'm lazy and cheap. So something that's cheap, lasts as long, and takes less than an hour with no power tools. Hopefully that makes sense.

Duragloss #105 if you want a little cleaner in it. Doesn't stain or powder off when removing. DG #111 is a pure sealant with no cleaners or polishing agents. Right around the $10 range. Collinite is very good also and around the $18 range.

Why bother, if your happy with Nu finish buy another, it is last a long time and is easy to use. I know its one of the most hated product but IMO its for no good reason other than it doesn't cost $$$ and isn't part of a "detailing system", for what the vast majority of people want and need for their daily driver its more than good enough IMO.

I used Nu-Finish for years with great success. My vehicles always looked new even after a decade and tons of miles. I stopped doing the finishing myself because of my back injury and not being able to stay in awkward positions required to seal all areas.

Now I take my vehicles to a guy that I was recommended to and he puts the sealant on for me once a year. I don't know what he uses but it is professional grade and does an amazing job. It's not cheap though.

So I would stick with the Nu-Finish.

The social stigma of admitting I use it? It's difficult to take that online message board beating time after time. Maybe I could just lie and say it's Duragloss?

Maybe I should just see if someone on here has an empty bottle of Duragloss I can fill with NuFinish?

Satin Silver--- #105 with cleaner sounds like what I'd want, I think. A little all in one cleaner is what lazy people like me need. I'll look into that along with other recommendations for lazy people.

If you enjoy staining your black trim and rubber, use NuFinish.

Collinite 845 is the best for general purpose, long lasting, ease of application use.

They do have a Marine/RV grade sealant that has more cleaners in it, fyi. A professional detailer on here in CA uses it for some of his customers. Here is a thread about it with some pics:

He also uses some very high end coatings for customers where money is no object.

Jescar Power Lock is the best one out there in my opinion. Deep brilliant shine, lasts and last and super easy on, easy off. Leaves no residue.

Collinite 845 is one of the best wax on the market. It's a wax though, not a sealant like Jescar

Dittos on the Jescar. It's highly regarded as a great sealant.

I just finished watching some vids on Jescar as I had never heard of it before.

Pan, who I have watched before, recommends it and Collinite 845. He also talks of another guy,, Matt, from Obsessed Garage, who has a cameo, who also loves the 2 together. (Below the 1st vid)

This guy talks about Collinite and Nu-Finish near the end of his video. Don't shoot the messenger! I offer no thoughts on Nu Finish what so ever.

Here is Pan's video that he talks highly of the Jescar and Collinite 845 wax. As a long time user/believer of 845 Insulator wax, what he says is not surprising to me.

Yeah, using the two together would be twice the effort. Outside of my laziness parameter. Informative videos, however!

Going to be tough to beat Nu Finish for price, long lasting protection, and I like how slick it makes the finish so that bugs and dirt have a hard time sticking. Stick with the Nu Finish.

Why don't you just go with a ceramic coating then? It'll cost more but then you won't have to keep going back every year (and I don't think any sealant will last a full year with our harsh winters, but a good ceramic coating will last for many years)

Better is a term that has many opinions.

*Former user of NuFinish - Meg's Ultimate Wax or one of the above mentioned sealers / waxes that will NOT stain trim or leave a bunch of white powder fleck residue is absolutely the way to go now ... I'll never go back to old technology , pain in the back side NuFinish again !
