The OP wanted opinions and I gave him one with a reference. Tell me why you would not run oil designed for diesel engines in a diesel engine?? And the guy doesn't even have a DPF to worry about.

5W30 version is bit more stout. Both are exceptional.

Low-SAPS oils are used in EU in gasoline and diesel engines since 2009. It is not all about DPF. Turbos love lower SAPS oils as well as low evaporation oils. All manufacturers in Europe switched most of their vehicles to these oils 10+ years ago, including Mercedes.

FWIW since i have owned the Jeep it has never done more than 5000 miles without an oil change.
