Best fully synthetic 5W30 engine oil

if you "Think" you're using the best for your car you can rest better at night. We have many "best" oils out there so you can use any of them without regret.

I wouldn’t be mad if you ran Castrol Edge 5w30 LL
It should be 504/507

probably have to order most 504/507 oils apparently not much call for them for DIY yet

I just bought my first bottle of redline the other day. 0w40 powersports oil was on sale (still a ridiculous price so I only bought one). Other than that I've never used it because of price but if price was no object I view their oils as my top pick.
 
I was thinking of using a fully synthetic 5W30 engine oil in a 1.4litre TSI turbo-charge VW petrol engine that normally requires a VW 504.000 approved oil (to protect the catalytic convertor apparently). Royal Purple HPS is not VW 504.000 approved but they assure me that it exceeds VW 504.000 and will be fine. Is there anything else that is better that I should be considering?

Here is all oil brands/weights that meet those specs. Pick whatever one from the list that sets your heart-a-flutter.
