Are legal immigrants the new true Americans?

It seems that most of the younger members here, and I also notice this disturbing trend among my younger friends/co- workers that have been born here, simply do not know what it means to be American. Every problem they encounter they want the government to "do something about it".
I do not notice this mind set in people that legally immigrated to Canada/US and had to start from literally nothing. They hard work to achieve their goal and do not want any handouts from the government.

Now I'm not saying that we do not have hard working people born here, but it's disturbing to see that more and more people, especially young adults are so eager to be governed.

What are your thoughts?
 
I saw a Toyota Prius today,the owner was flying an American flag from the window.Does he not realize that the Prius is 100% foreign?

I see many many immigrants, most all of which are from
third world countries expecting the government to do all sorts of things for them, welfare, social security, medical,
but at the same time most of them also do NOT want to
adapt and assimilate into the country they now are a
supposed citizen in.

That being said there are some which are earnest, hard working and want to become a part of their new country. But I have found them to be the exception to the rule.

Exactly. People at work were recently upset when they heard one immigrant say to another "I have to get my mother to come here! The government just gives you everything!"

But there a few who don't think this way.

Yes, you lost instincts of self-preservation, survival and competition. EZ and Free are the keywords.

You are degenerates. No one to blame. Nowhere else to run for us, who really tested Socialist Paradise in live, real-time mode. You are not capable to really appreciate what you were born into.

it's a similar situation among immigrants: kids, who held Daddy's hand when they came off the boat, and that's all the effort they did to come here, are now in college and are fully immersed in struggle against 'unjust world', 'income inequality', for 'Internet as a human right', 'UN Charter supersedes US Constitution' and so on.
Their parents, who had to run for their lives to freedom, starve, freeze, cross minefields and swim across winter rivers under fire are the one who appreciate this country. Minority nowadays. Most immigrants now are welfare trash. Good voters for trailer trash presidents.

It really proves that humans are irrational: after hundreds of millions dead bodies produced by the Socialists of all sorts from Hitler to Stalin to Mao and Pol-Pot this plague has no vaccine.
 
We have these "pending refugees" milling around up my way. (The cheap housing stock leads operations like Catholic Charities to rent them housing.) The federal gov't is backlogged processing their applications for "permanent refugee status." So they have a six month visa but aren't "evict-able" if it takes longer than six months to process their application.

And they aren't *allowed* to work during this process.

Naturally, this leads to confusion among the "native born" population.

"They came here illegally".

Er, no.

"They're illegal because they're not legal."

Er, shades of gray.

"They don't want to work."

Er, they don't want to run afoul of the law as they deftly wait to plead their case that they'd make good Americans.

Those Native American Indians are NOT
NATIVE at all, they crossed the
Bering Straits,
Kennewick Man, and European tribe
arrived in North American on the Washington and Oregon coast about 30,000 years before the
Indians did.

So being first does not matter?

The Natives were here first, and they lived in a better perpetual harmony with nature. The Europeans of early America was in fact, very very similar to Muslims today, I don't read anyone proposing we force Islam on the Americas, but it was ok for Euorpeans to betray the Red Man, even force religion on him, force to move on reservations, that is somehow just and this stolen land is ours now?.... this is not our land. This is land won by blood and injustice.

Does not matter where you were born, most of us are NOT natives to this land, our Ancestry is from Europe and Africa.

Yeah, not so much. Many Indian tribes were nomadic, moving once they had denuded and polluted the land beyond livability. Yes, the United States was taken largely by conquest, which was the way of the world at that time. I'm not saying that what was done was right, much of it was horribly wrong. Yes, the white Europeans broke some treaties, as did the Indians. Rounding up the Indians and putting them on reservations was certainly not a high point in our history.

However, we're here, and we can't go back in time.
