I'm just curious. Anyone enjoy a few hours at the table? (not talking virtual on-line crap(s)).
Some people are a bit intimidated by the game, or just do lots of side bets. But really it's not difficult and even remembering the actual roll odds isn't actually so bad, and the table crew will help with pay odds.
Maybe your state doesn't have gambling? Here in WA state we have Native N. American casinos. The place I have been a few times is called Silver Reef. Small, one craps table. Typical min $5, but they have $2 and $3 during week days,
I went yesterday for my birthday. Last time was late winter. I hate to say it, but I won $564 last time and $469 this time. I started with $100 this time....and well real quick I was down $50 or so and was ready to walk....but I battled back....wife checks on me every so often (she giving money to silly .05$ machines).
As mentioned I don't do bad pay-off side bets. I play the line and take the best big odds, when a point is picked I spread $26 or $27 across the point numbers. I usually keep the same bets, but sometimes I press on 6 or 8, (semi likely rolls) Well if 7 comes up (most likely roll), it comes up.....pure fun low-tech entertainment.
Lovely cocktail waitresses bring me bottled water, whilst I'm also entertained by the other rollers - I didn't do myself much good (maybe a couple times) But some good folks had 30 minute runs!
We started at about 6:30 and headed home at 9:30 (told the baby sitter we would be home at 10pm)....the only bummer is I would have enjoyed time alone with the wife more.
