Slot Machines in Las Vegas

Issue with the lotto is where the revenue goes.

If lotto proceeds went 100 percent to a state's general fund, then I would concur it is a tax on the poor. Lotto funds are typically tied to a lot of special interests, often masked/masqueraded as going to education/scholarships. The truth is much of lotto revenue goes to costs identified as administrative, but in all honesty it is money laundering to people with very special ties to state government officials.

Kind of like government giving funds to provide daycare to infants in Minnesota. Almost none of the funds made it for the caring of in need infants. But the government can market to its supporters all the billions spent on infant children in need in Minnesota.

Actually very sad, sick, and evil.
I don’t know how it is in the US but in Canada a lot of the money that the lottery corporation gets goes back into the community. They donate a massive amount of money to hospitals and charities (such as cancer research) So it makes me feel good knowing that a portion of what I spend on tickets goes towards helping others

Was I just in a chintzy low paying casino, or is this the reality?
This is all casinos now. They only actually want whales or gambling addicts for customers.

I love casino hotels for cheap rooms and the fact that there are less kids there. Atlantic City casinos are really just cheap rooms at the beach to me. And by cheap I mean good value, the rooms are actually usually very nice. If I am going to waste money in the casino it will be on food or in a bar.

I do like watch Vegas Matt on YouTube, but that's mostly only out of morbid curiosity, and only because he bets large amounts of money.

As some have stated already, most entertainment - fun is not free.
What fun there is to be had gambling - even if it's just checking your numbers with great hope, has value.
To me it's worth a buck, or two occasionally, to buy a lotto ticket.
It's the folks who drop large sums (subjective number) trying to improve their odds, that need to do a reality check with the math.

I’ll start off by saying I’m not a gambler. I understand blackjack, can play poker, and find roulette and craps mildly entertaining to watch for about five minutes. If I’m going to a casino for something, like a concert, I’ll “waste” my money at the buffet, not on the machines or tables.

I was in NV recently, and saw a $1.99 margarita deal and decided to go get one after dinner (I understand generally that you can get free drinks while playing, but see above). I walked around and watched the slot machine games.

While I did see some bonuses giving some decent wins to people (who knows how much they lost before), what was crazy was the setup to play. Often it was 75c minimum, and folks were pushing a lot to get a single win. And then the wins weren’t actually even money. I saw 4c wins on 75c pulls, often 50c wins.

On the poker machine, I thought you win with a high card pair. That doesn’t even pay 1:1.

Was I just in a chintzy low paying casino, or is this the reality? I was in sunset station in Henderson.

I don’t really play but this sure doesn’t seem like the payouts for my penny/nickel/quarter slots I have played some times in the past. Seems really cheap.

I guess gambling competition hasn’t resulted in benefit to the consumer??!? Man, every time someone talks about Vegas slots and tables it reminds me how wild the whole casino world is — from penny slots to high-stakes blackjack and roulette, it’s all about betting your money and chasing that jackpot vibe. Some folks swear by poker as the only game with skill, others just spin the reels till they’re broke and laugh about it. I was checking some online resources the other day and stumbled on this cool hub of info and options for casino fun where you can compare games and deals in one spot right here https://casinonlinenieuwe.com/ before you blow your cash in person. It’s funny how a night of gambling can go from sipping drinks next to a craps table to laughing at how tight the slots feel, but that’s part of the grind. Whether you’re into blackjack strategy or slot jackpots, money talks and games walk, right?
LOL yeah people go from property to property trying to find “loose” slots - that’s basically a thing now, especially with locals hitting a few casinos just hopping machines and comps instead of tables.

And then came the lotteries
And now every aspect of online sports betting sanctioned by the states we live in.
You can just about bet on anything imaginable maybe even what underwear players wear … crazy and in this case it’s hidden behind closed doors.
The public doesn’t see it so it’s ok all the lives it rips apart and families it breaks up.

Yeah lottery tickets. It’s a big scene around convenience stores in poor areas. Very sad the stuff I have seen and places I have been in doing security systems.

ALL of the electronic machines are controlled from Chicago. If you get a card, I mean a membership card, or CREDIT card, they can tie you to the machine and entice you to return by varying the odds in real time. If anyone thinks these machines are honest and above board, they are fooling themselves.

My sister loved to gamble. She would ALWAYS count her winnings, but never adjusted those numbers with her losses.
That's a new one. And there is a underground alien base near Dulce,NM where space ships land all the time.
