Anyone heard of this oil.

I think the name was liquid moly or something close. It was only synthetic and like 7 buck a quart. If you know what it might be,is it worth 7 buck a quart.

Search the board for "Liqui Moly" or "Liqui-Moly". Pretty good stuff from what I've read.

LiquiMoly is the company, LubroMoly is a trade name for it.

LubroMoly is it. German. Expensive. Unreadable bottle. Magnifying glass ain't good enough, you need a microscope. 0W40, 5W40, 10W30. No 5W grades, nothing in a 5W20 at all. They also sell an additive, 18.00 for a pint. Dunno what's in it, couldn't read the label, didn't have my microscope, didn't care enough to look it up on their website. 8.75/Qt. at AA.

they have a few oil additives.

Molybdenum Disulfide oil additive
MotorProtect (ammonium molybdate)
Ceratec (thats the expensive one, boron nitride)

and even though you said no 5W grades, you listed a 5W40

their full synthetic oils are the 0W40 5W40 and 10W60.

they also make a 10W40 blend with molybdenum disufide in it that apparently gets better fuel econ than 30wt oils

It's been around for a while, and is not as potentially helpful as it once was. Modern oils are pretty good.
