I am curious as to others experience in this awful process.

Back in the 70's and 80's this wasn't even considered a real crime. I hate the stigma of being convicted of DUI.

For a very long time, those of us out late at night, knew it was us, cops, and drunks driving around.

Enjoy in moderation and keep your papers handy.

The OPer can go straight to [censored] as far as I'm concerned, and that's coming from a Chicago native, too.

I am so sorry for your loss. it's always heartbreaking to lose a loved one, but a child. . .there are no words.

To the OP: not worth responding to.

It is code for what drunks and lushes like to mean that they know the are buzzed but think they are still not too impaired to safely drive.

Ah...I see...

So, we've turned from admitting that we've got a problem, and regretting our past actions to blaming the police for our problems, have we?

Blame others for your failures. A recipe for certain success!

I hope you recognize your problem before your kill someone.

I'm still thinking Uber would be a great idea for you....

I don't think I would be bragging or complaining about police harassment when driving drunk.

I did get pulled over once for this, though. It was 11PM, I was tired. Left the gym and there was an awesome lightning storm. I was driving slow and wondering around watching the lightning storm and I had also forgot to turn on the headlights because I was watching the storm.

The officer got a good chuckle out of it.

It's called "denial" and it ain't a river in Egypt. The guy's got a woolly mammoth in his living room and thinks it's a St. Bernard.
