So, I purchased the above machine in a 4 seat configuration thinking I would use it as primarily a utility rig for hunting, hauling and occasional recreation use for the family, hence the 4 seats. Well, I've found I've used it very little for that and now I have a buddy that has a newer RZR 1000 XP and I'd be kidding myself if I thought I could enjoy myself trying to ride with him. His machine has double the hp of mine and mines governed at 50mph, when he can easily hit 80+.
Granted, those are speeds you're not doing while trail riding, but when you hit fire roads or if I want to run into town or my brother-in-laws place, 50 isn't going to cut it. Now, I could sink a few $$$ into it by an ECU reflash (raising top speed to upper 50's/low 60's), but that comes at a price by reducing the reliability that the machine is known for. Plus, it just doesn't have the suspension to do that kind of aggressive riding.
So, I'm looking at going with a different machine and figured I'd ask the knowledgeable community on this site. I could stay in the same segment and go with a Kawasaki Ridge, Polaris General, Honda Pioneer, or Yamaha Wolverine, all with 1000 na motors that can easily achieve the speeds I want, but not necessarily the sportiness of a true sport SxS. A Kawasaki KRX, Polaris RZR, or Honda Talon offer the sport version with 4 seat capability. A machine that intrigues me is the new CF Moto Z10 with a 1000 turbo. It's definitely the fastest of the bunch and offers the most bang for the buck.
Does anyone have any opinions/experience with these machines and can offer good or bad? I like that the Honda has a DCT transmission, but tech seems to lack a bit on it. I guess I forgot to leave out Can Am, which could be a contender as well. Don't get me wrong, I think the Teryx is a great machine, but it's just too pokey for the riding I want to do and I don't want to spend a bunch of scratch to make improvements, and ultimately not achieve what I want it to do

If you need the 4 seater, I'd go with the Yamaha RMAX4. When I get the go ahead from the finance department I will be going to the 2 seat RMAX as I do not need the 4 seats.
Yamaha has the best clutching setup in the business, and will rip down a trail and still haul stuff for hunting.
Kawasaki KRX would be #2 on my list, depends on if you have a dealer you like.

Well, I'd personally prefer a 2 seater, but it's an easier sell to the "finance dept." if I go with a 4 seater. I'm just not sure if I stick with the sports utility segment, or go with a full-on sports machine. The guy I ride with rides hard and fast and I know my little Teryx will be struggling. He just put a set of 32 or 33" tires on his machine and he said that gives him an advantage when he hits the deep stuff.

I have a 2022 Teryx 800 S model which has the upgraded suspension. Also have 29” tires that give me 15” of ground clearance. Mine is street legal, and the extra tire height fools the ecu for a 55 mph top speed before the rev limiter kicks in. I’ve considered the re-flashed ecu, but also hate to lose the reliability.

My friends with Polaris, Can Am, and Honda talked smack about my top end speed until they saw how my Teryx did on the outlaw trails in West Virginia. That 800cc V-twin is a torque monster that crawls well, and handles rocks and extremely rough terrain easily.

I realize that the Teryx isn’t for everyone, but it works for me because I use it on the farm, and use it on the trails. It’s also the biggest bang for the buck I could find.
