Any reason a good dino wont do 6 months?

Hi guys, been hammered to death I know, just wondering if theres any reason Castrol GTX wont do 6 month intervals.

I was running synthetic, but with decent sized sump in the Jeep, and roughly 9K miles a year, swapped to conventional. The Mazda still gets syn.
The owners manual allows 6 month/ 6K changes for normal driving. I do a decent highway run every day, with about %30 city driving. Not much idling. I usually cover 4.5K in 6 months.

Would this be fine?.

Think it would work fine. I have run GTX as long as one year in some of my low mileage trucks with no problems.

Yeah, it is sort of. Id say I'm half way between normal and severe service.

4.5k in 6 months as described, should be no problem on any good dino like GTX. I do 5k or 6 months on name brand dino with my vehicles running dino.

6 months is the ideal oci, imo.

If you drive a lot of miles or have a fancy car, maybe use synth.

gtx is all my fellow new yorkers run, apparently, , and probably yearly, lol. you cant walk 10 feet without hitting your dome on a gtx sign.

but yeah, youll be fine.

Two oil changes a year would be perfect in this instance. Castrol GTX can certainly do 4.5K and six months easily (and so can most anything else)...

you should be good, i only use synthetic in my Jeep becasue i like too, its really not nessasary as long as your follow the OCI you laid out.

I don't see why a good dino can't go 6 months. I have run Maxlife (its a blend) for a year OCI with no apparent problems.

It's not even 5K! It'll be an easy job for the GTX! I hope you aren't paying full price though =)
