Of course that's not so. The amount of work performed is EXACTLY the same, regardless of front or rear drive.

Silly examples of pulling or pushing a shopping cart through the mud, are simply not accounting for the lift a person provides to reduce the load while pulling or pushing it.

Well that is good but remember, you are just one. The statistics show that the majority think and choose otherwise.

I think green is a good color for cars but there are very few automakers that have that choice. The Lexus Nori Green Pearl is beautiful.

I think that’s because outside of the Challenger/Charger/300, most RWD sedans were on the more expensive side, and they’re generally just bigger vehicles. People also have an irrational fear of RWD vehicles… heard it all the time when I had my 300. It did no worse in snow than any FWD car I’ve owned.

I'm sad to witness the death of the sedan, and the rise of the CUV. Kind of surprised the 6 didn't sell well enough here to keep it alive. A fine alternative to Accord or Camry. It made for a pretty impressive sport sedan at one time.

all true but for the average person, driving in snow, FWD doesn't wig out on you like RWD does. And that is what most people look for.

There aren't any serious sports cars that are FWD that I know of - they are either RWD or AWD.

FWD = has lots of weight right over the wheels and most often 1 (as most have open diffs) and sometimes 2 wheels that have perform 2 functions concurrently of turning & braking or turning and accelerating. In an open diff FWD you simply run out of tire almost instantly, and with a limited slip FWD car you run out a bit later.

RWD car with limited slip distributes the acceleration and turning between 4 tires and has better front-rear balance (especially with a transaxle).

True it has a tunnel to deal with running through the passenger cabin.

finally they realize RWD is more efficient and more more desired. even the new explorer is based on a RWD platform.

Don't hold your breath waiting for it. I think Mazda will try to pull a "Genesis" if it does return. Expect a $50,000 sedan if it does.

cadillac flopped across the board

lexus gave up on the gs but they are lazy

genesis tries very hard and doesn’t sell

the new mazda is probably dead on arrival

What happened to the Nissan Maxima and Infinity G ... both were RWD.

The Infinity G is/was RWD(except the 1st gen G20/Sentra based). But the Maxima has been FWD since the '80s
