The Worlds 1st Ultra Synthetic Motor Oil?

Sure looks like Amsoil bottle and filter to me in the commercial but they state that it is the first 100,000 mile "ultra" synthetic oil and that it is "only available from autozone"
I wonder if Amsoil corporate knows they are being copied like this?

It just looks so strange a total ripoff of the Amsoil logo/bottle and the oil filter is a copy right down to the "Ea" number on the box. The part that gets me is available "only" at autozone! Amsoil would not throw their entire dealer network under the bus like that!?

SORRY! If I am wasting everyone's time but this video just came up when I was looking through goobtube for "Amsoil videos". I see the bi-tron on the lab coat part of the video but what struck me was the obvious similarity of the bottle shape and color, the label on the bottle and the oil filter and box right down to the "Ea" part number for the filter.
ALL very much like Amsoil that if you did not know any better you would think Amsoil when you see it. It just struck me as a trademark sort of thing!

I have seen other commercials where they were comparing brand x oil to mobil 1 for example and they showed the mobil one bottle but the label was blacked out, however you could tell it was mobil 1 bottle by the shape, but this video was not even a comparison to Amsoil or anything else it was just a commercial for that product and showed a very recognizable Amsoil bottle as their OWN.

They never really identified who they were and they did not identify the product as an additive that bi-tron is supposed to be and as is done on the real/regular bi-tron website. They just stated that this was the first 100,000 mile oil and that it was only available at autozone.

Even if this was just a joke video put together as a prank it still smacks of some sort of trade mark tampering I would think.

Oh, I agree with you eoghan, and it would be great if Amsoil, bi-tron, and Autozone went after whoever did this. But seeing as how things like youtube, facebook, myspace, etc., work, I doubt they can do anything about it.

I know that Amsoil can request youtube to take down that video as trademark infringement. I know I would if I was A J Amatuzio!!
