I'm hoping they decide to offer it in 5W40, if they do I will try it in my 88 E-150.

No leaks, it can run anything from a 30 grade to a 50 grade according to the owner's manual. UOA showed better results with 5W40, than 5W30, so I decided years ago to stick with it.

Update on the 'Ticking" from my wife's Escape ... it is completely gone! She has about 700 miles on the Valvoline Restore and Protect now and I have a few miles over 800. A friend suggested that since my V6 is a VVT engine, the Valvoline Restore and Protect might very well have cleaned out the oil passages to the VVT solenoids, making them perform back to spec, which likely could explain the improved throttle response.

A guy at my gym has a FBO ethanol RcF he tracks so we talk cars between sets. He brought up his neighbor ran some Valvoline Restore and Protect for 2 changes and took off the valve cover to find it spotless. Neither of them talked about BITOG. This Valvoline Restore and Protect has some serious word of mouth and seems to be working as well.

In this case it was word of mouth, which is and always will help or hinder sales. The people coming from my contextual observation don't follow "influencers" and are more aware of new automotive products such as oil.
