How good is the Amsoil OE line...specifically the OE 0w-20 variant?

I am trying to find an oil i can use in place of the TMGO while my GR Corolla is under warranty. I have been advise any oil meeting 0w-20 AND API certified will not effect warranty in any way. ( if the need arose)

I was wanting to use AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20 , BUT it has no API certification, thus its risky to use.

Thanks for any feedback.

If I were you, I would run 5w20 at least. OE is excellent oil. I have used it in many vehicles in the past. Contact @Pablo to setup an account and order with confidence.

A couple of years ago, Lake Speed Jr put out a video analyzing TGMO due to his daughter buying a Toyota. He seems impressed with this "off-the-shelf" oil. Most of the discussion starts at 13:45. At 19:36, he says "and the results say, this is a very advanced formulation", and this is a PAO/AN blend. If the Honda-branded oil was as good, I wouldn't be afraid to run it, especially if it kept the warranty question off my back. For that matter, it meets all the Honda specifications. Hmmm.

Penrite has a few 0w-20's and they have a pao based one that has the vw 508/509 license so it's guaranteed to be a good 0w-20 with that alone.
Trust, but verify. I had an Audi and sent several 508/509 oils for VOAs, and the Ravenol VSE has 2095ppm calcium and 203ppm sodium, which puts it in the not-so-good category for LSPI. I sent an email to Ravenol, to which they replied... well, it's certified.

if concerned with the warranty, I would consider the Amsoil XL oil, you can also look up preferred customer purchases online for a reduced pricing. or contact Pablo^

I have been informed by "Toyota" i can ONLY use a 0w-20 ( to keep warranty unaffected)
Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 and Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 are 8.8 cSt at 100°C.
However, I would recommend Castrol Edge Extended Performance 0W-20 or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20.

Well.....watching the video you liked in regards to the TMGO , it appears to be a VERY good oil !!!
More confused now....just using the TMGO which appears to be excellent ( and 100% warranty friendly) .............or use another...

Decisions, Decisions..

Make sure to ask the dealer specifically what oil they use in their oil changes, if you're having them perform it. My dealer doesn't use Honda oil, but Pennzoil Platinum. Regardless of what they told me, I'd still do my own oil changes.

that because you told on yourself. if you used 5w30, they would likely never know.

what does this have to do with Amsoil OE?

So why start a inquiry to a product that you would not even consider due to price.

In that case, if you were to buy some American juice, I would go with the SS over the OE, as the shipping would likely be more than the oil......
