Amsoil OE 100% synthetic group 3?

Enough with the bickering and semantics.
Everyone is entitiled to an opinion.
Facts exist beyond opinions.
Want to know what's in the bottle? Call Amsoil's tech line ; ask specific questions and insist on specific answers.

How so? Does it list how much group 4 they use? Wouldnt someone say that “final product is what matters, not the base oil”?

Well there are the pour points that are in the PAO range as well as the NOAK which seems pretty stable across the line.

And you can keep your (second) strawman sentences to yourself...

And it is a lot more data (or evidence) than you've brought to the table...

BTW, I've never used AMSOIL and am not a fan of their marketing, but I do think big claims should have some big evidence. In any case you can ask AMSOIL yourself. They won't give an exact percentage but their SS line seems pretty POA based to me. But of course I would hope you would realize that all oil blends are a composite of some sort and many syns probably have Group I for solubility...

Low Pour point is not definite guarantee of high PAO content. The information I found that AMSOIL Signature Series does contain PAO and ethers, but also group 3. If its mostly group 4 or 3 is unknown.

according to this documents PAO is only 10-30%. If its less than 50%, I dont consider it “mostly group4”.

I use Amsoil OE & SS with confidence, their data sheets are açcurate and I don't believe some of their competition are, it's nice to have it delivered to my home one less thing to fetch and spend time on as many stores don't always have the stock on hand of what you want and it'll be from mixed batches, I get a quarterly magazine and can watch videos and have insight into the industry and Amsoil good luck with that on most other company's, this week I called Amsoil about my generator oil OCI do to storms and several days of Usage (made specific for 4 stroke small engine not automotive oil like others) I had an answer in five minutes, good luck calling another supplier!

I did not say anything about quality of AMSOIL Signature Series. It might be a great product, but likely not predominantly group4.

Interestingly, from the SDS you posted, it doesn't appear to primarily be Group III either. If we assume both PAO and GIII are both at the top of the range provided, that's still only 60%, so what's making up the remaining 20-30%? POE?

That's correct, the original Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 Formula had an HTHS value of 3.58, that's what I'm using in my Corvette right now (and I've got 4 more oil changes worth, and have been going to different Canadian Tire locations buying it up as they have it on clearance right now) The new formulation is simply called 5w30 ESP and has an HTHS value of 3.5.

I'm just not sure which of the two formulas is actually better. The original formula has a super low sulfated ash level of 0.6% (I can't think of another oil this low) vs 0.8% for the new formula. It also has been reported to have a NOACK of 5.6%, the new formula is unknown there.

But there is one thing about the new formula I do like, it's viscosity at 40c is 62.6 cst, vs 72.8 cst for the old formula. So the new formula might be a bit better on a cold start.
The esp formula is made in France and is the better oil but I don’t think they are importing it to the US anymore. If you can get it in Canada, stock up.

Could be, I saw on oil-club.ru they did spectral analysis and saw some ethers.

Yes, ester content was what I was thinking. That would make a very good portion of the base oil blend IV/V, with a good-sized chunk of Group III in there as well. Of course this is all wild speculation, but it's an interesting thought.
