I follow Busters posts a lot. The wife got a new Toyota
Rav-4. I will try Amsoil 0w-20 wt in it. I see Buster likes
it, must be good.

Hope it works for you. I would only use it if you plan on draining it no less than 10k miles. Otherwise, plenty of great oils out there. Good luck.

Buster is getting a following, I went with the same oil for the same reason...

I've still got it in the garage because I still have perfectly good M1 in the sump of my Honda, but I'm getting real itchy to switch.

I too have the 0w20 asm. However, I didnt see a point of using it in summer and my vehicle probably is still breaking in. So, kept it for winter. Extended OCI of asm is an added bonus in the frigid months.

Very funny Johnny! I was trying to sell ELF Oil synthetic a few years ago and you would not have believed some of the responses... Me: Have you heard of ELF? Answer: yes, my children love the movie about bla, bla elves. This was from the service manager at a VW dealership right in the midst of their sludge "situation".

Different subject: Is it "Busterites" or Bustiers?". (Buster, this is a joke. I have a lifelong rule of trying not to P-- O-- guys named buster).

Guy's, we will only know for sure when the UOA's start coming in. Until then.....

Don't take anymore of my advice though.

After using AMSoil 0w-20,EaO filter, and Synthetic ATF for 1500 miles, all I can say is "Holy COW! Incredible increase in MPG!!!". This 03 Focus SOHC also has Viva 2 tires (low rolling resistance), K&N drop in air filter, regularly changed changed fuel filter, and Lucas UCL at each fill up, all of which has helped. But the oil change mpg gain seemed very dramatic.

I was not trying to patronize Buster. I have followed
this site from the beginning. There are a handful of posters, than I value there opinion. Buster is one of
these. There were posters in the past who I also valued
there opinion, but they are gone. Buster has stepped up
with a few others to take there place.

Great. There will be no living with Buster now.

When I come across many of my old posts I laugh at how stupid I sound. Most of my posts get on my nerves. LOL.

I'm all over the place...

GM, believe it or not,I still am on the originals. I have almost 71,000 on it now.

I did not want to sound like nube. I have been a mechanic all my life. Six years as an Air Force Weapons mechanic.
The last 30 as a mechanic for the Corp of Engineers. When
to night school, became a certified Diesel Mechanic. Became
a certified welder. When stationed in a remote Alaska Air Force site. I worked partime with a bush pilot air srvice as
a mechanic. Used Mobil 1 the first year it came out. Now I like Amsoil. Buster is a straight shooter.
