Acura/Honda vs aftermarket

I got the car (2000 3.5RL) last month and it has 88000KM or 50000 miles. I'm considering replacing the air filter. I thought about going the K&N route but after reading here I'm thinking not K&N. So now the question is oem vs other aftermarket brands.

I went to Canadian Tire today and much to my surprise the Motomaster replacement filter is like $12(after tax) more than OEM one from Acura. The K&N would have been $55 more. I'm assuming, I know that's dangerous, that another aftermarket brand won't be cheaper than the OEM.

Should I just get the OEM or pay a bit more and go aftermarket?

If the OEM filter is cheaper, I would buy it over the aftermarket one.

I too would get the OEM filter unless a name brand aftermarket were significantly less expensive.
