BOGO makes it an incredibly good deal, $1.09 a bottle, but is the stuff any good? What would be better in the long run, 2 bottles of this stuff every month (every other tank full in my situation), or a bottle of techron every 3 months (every 12th fill up for me)? And by better I mean what would keep the fuel system running at it's peak?

I am not farmiliar with the product you are speaking of but I have had great luck with Fuel Power 60. You can buy a gallon of it and it will last quite a while. I add it to every tank on my jeep and my wifes cavalier and it has really done a great job on my cars.

Let me ask a different question, would any fuel injector cleaner, say STP gas treatment, be better for the system if used once per fill up, or would it be better to use the expensive top of the line product once every few months?

If you want to use something off the shelf, I would say run Gumout Regane or Redline every few thousand miles as recommended.

I have personally found the STP products ineffective. They are usually 95% kerosene with a tiny amount of "active ingredients". I find Redline VERY effective as a cleaner and it had the greatest positive impact on performance. Its 6.99 a bottle at AAP, good deal. Redline can even be run in "maintainence dose" where you add a couple ounces per tank.

I wouldn't bother with those STP or other brand "gas treatments" as they are mostly kerosene. Run a fuel system cleaner per the mileage recommendations and you should be golden.

Here is how i personally rank the quality of over the counter products.

1. Redline SI-1
2. Gumout Regane
3. Techron Concentrate
