A Nissan Gloria with a Glorious interior

This 2000 Nissan Gloria is for sale in my area. Those seats are heaven! The Rear ones look more comfortable than the fronts. This car has the V6, we only got the V8 in the Infiniti M45.

yes, you can still get "old man's" cars like that in japan, and maybe some parts of asia, but mostly people hate on these interiors so much and think proper luxury is LeAthEr lol

I think some M45 parts fits, but yeah... you'll have to end up shipping in chopped cars/used parts from japan that way... new parts is possible but I can't imagine the shipping costs

In case of an accident, those vehicles are quickly scrapped by insurance comanies with no question.

Sidenote, I really liked the look of the M45's. Such a sinister-looking machine, with power to match!

As a low use weekend car odds are good it won't get wrecked. Have it properly insured.

What's the asking price, @Finklejag? I've owned many Nissan/Infiniti vehicles. I almost bought a 1991 Q45, even test drove it, but backed out, some 25 years ago. That thing was fast!

There are some shared parts with other Nissans. Weirdly enough it was also sold under the name Cedric which was mechanically identical underneath but more luxurious. Kind of like Chevy vs Pontiac vs Buick I think. According to various websites a version of Nissans VQ30 but I think it was direct vs port injected.

It could have the 2.5 or 3.0 VQ V6, some came with the 3.0 turbo also. The guy is asking $8K obo.

Under the 25 Year Rule, most anything can be imported as long as it is in its original condition (very important and strictly interpreted at import).

I do not believe RHD vehicles were actually banned for the general public, just very few were ever certified and offered for US sale. I could be wrong though.

Consider all of the Kei class machines that have been imported, all RHD.
JDM cars have a certain following in the US and RHD is a part of their charm.

there's no US law that states where the steering wheel must be, just that new cars and anything used newer than 25 years old must meet US emissions and safety standards

any pleb can go buy a RHD jeep from their local jeep dealer... it's a novelty and conversation starter that quickly wears off

USDM cars are LHD because RHD is very impractical, based on the fact that the US Is a RHT country, that's why RHD cars are rare

many other countries, including canada has no "wrong side drive" bans either, but there's also plenty out there that do for "safety" reasons
