I didn't mean to imply the list of vehicles that choose Mobil 1 was small if that's how I sounded. I was just saying other expensive vehicles, and even some of the most expensive vehicles come with and recommend Castrol.
And to me, this doesn't mean much. I think Mobil 1 and Castrol make high quality products.
But I also bet that there are many other oils that would take these engines to the same mileage that M1/Castrol does.
As a matter of fact, I bet I could run good old faithful Rotella-T 5W-40 Group III in any of the cars that call for a 40 weight, and raise [censored] in them and have no issues. I do think they want a quality oil for their vehicles, but I also think there is more to it than the oil. Like I said, I think some bidding goes on behind closed doors... big fancy golden closed doors. Exxon/Mobil is the richest or one of the richest companies in the world.
That's all I'm saying, that's all I've been trying to say. Nothing about Mobil 1 being bad, because it isn't.
