I have been using Mobil 1 10w30 in this beast, car is not abused but moderately driven....Good choice for this application? It does get changed every 3000 miles or so, cheap insurance in my opinion...Also use K&N oil filter....

I would think Redline would be the top choice for this application.

Nice numbers, S/C or Turbo? CR? @ 3K you are just fine with M1, but if there ever was an app that Redline would shine its one like this. Ive been hooked on boost before, define "moderately driven"

ATI Pro Charger S/C.....
forged stroked and a bit of a hand full.....I can't really push it much on the street, just instant unreal power....

If not Redline, I would go with M1 racing 4T (one of the few real EoM synthetics), or a 5w40 A3 B3,4 LL oil or another appropriate "real" synthetic - not a fake. That much Tq you are testing fate. What does your engine builder recommend? Why is it moderately driven - you want to trade for my Yaris? This way you can beat on it and no one will notice

Ah my friend, you have obviously never driven anything with this kind of power on the street, or, you would not have alluded my driving habits..........

Sure it works for factory Corvettes, but what kind of factory Corvette engine cranks out 750HP?

I'd say talk to the engine builder because custom built engines often have different bearing clearances than OE spec engines.

Anyway, I know plenty of guys use M1 in their built race engines, but usually the 15w50 viscosity.

Redline 5w30, HTHS of 3.8. That's a mid range 10.6 cst 30-weight oil with a higher HTHS than Mobil 1's 14 cst 0W-40.

The ZR1 is factory 638HP and comes with Mobil 1 5w30 in the sump.........

how many RPM's???

I'd say thicker oil if using major RPM's...but definitely redline for a racer like that if you can get some

Otherwise maybe Mobil 1 5w40 turbo-diesel???

For something with that much power, I'd go thicker, like some have said. Fuel economy or 'cold starts' are not in the picture for this beast. I wouldn't use less than a 40-weight....

do you think M1 turbo-diesel would be good?

OR...what about VR1 40 or 50wt? Since he is doing 3k OCI, this is exactly what it was designed for no?

Ive owned a 350 HP V8 Vega, a 428 CJ 69 Fairlane 5000 FB, a built 396 '67 Chevelle and a 65 401 Buick wildcat, a 93 Lincoln Mk Viii, but you are correct, Nothing with high torque above 4000 RPM. Not Streetable for sure. So, Why so much HP that cant be used? do you track the car, and just street it periodically?
