My '6 rarely gets on a lift, here she is getting new Vredesteins. 1974 with 46k original miles and never a winter. I am the second owner for almost 30 years. Waxoyled years ago, and touched up every once on a while. The 'rust' you see on the frame inboard of the right wheel isn't frame rust, it is dried rust and stop leak runoff from when I replaced coolant hoses. Stainless exhaust is a duplicate of the original pattern except for material. Otherwise the car is as original as I can keep her down to functioning emission controls. Good look at the British continual rust proofing feature, aka oil leaks...

Does it have the big fat ugly bumpers? How's the electric system?
Yes, it has the overriders but not the later raised bumpers, and the electrical system is original or OEM replacement or rebuilt and fine. I've never really had any problems w/ original Lucas systems but I have always been a regular user of contact cleaner and dielectric paste.

Nice!

I had a '74 TR6 as well, back in the 1980's. Got about 1/2 way through a restoration, but gave up when realizing the body was 90% bondo covered. Seeing photos of the underside brings back great memories!

Nice car. Funny story In 1981 my boss asked me to take his TR6 to get the shocks replaced. I was 20 years old and had a 1979 Z28 4 SPD and was the only person who drove a manual transmission. Having driven only American cars I never dealt with the hand emergency brake. I guess his wasn't adjusted properly because the car moving although I thought it performed terribly. After about a block, the lightbulb went off and I realized the emergency brake was on. Found it and released it and I was good to go. Nice fun car I just remember how light the clutch was compared to my car (I had a Schiefer performance clutch). I never told him I took some life out of his brakes.
