Can the 5w20 users please chime in and say how many miles they now have on their car?

Car, Mileage, OCI.

Thank you.

2004 Acura RSX , 32,000 miles, 5000 - 7500 miles, Mobil 1 5w-20

2005 Honda Civic , 24,000 miles, 5000 oci, Exxon Super Flo

Odyssey. 8000. After 2000 mile first change, went about 5000 OCI with previous dino (Valvoline...which this vehicle consumed somewhat). Put in Mobil 1 Synthetic (which this vehicle does not consume) and plan on waiting until the Oil Monitor tells me 20% oil life left, or, a maximum of 9-10000 miles, or one year, whichever comes first.

2002 Honda CRV at 31K. Tried Pennzoil and Chevron 5w-20. Just dumped in a load of Castrol Syntec 5w-20.

I change every four-six months, regardless of miles.

01 Ford Escape, 56,000 miles
have used Motorcraft semi 5/20 only.

Change every 3/4000 miles since birth.

2003 Civic EX

Mileage: 15,200

OCI: Every 6 months which averages out to 2.5k after leaving in the factory fill for 5k. Many short trips. Used to use RL but changed to M1 5-20. Always with the M1 filter.

2000 Subaru OBW with ~54,000 miles. Using MC 5w20 and ST3593a oil filters since 18Oct'05. Now have ~3700 miles on this OCI.

2006 Honda Ridgeline truck. I go by the OLM which just turned to the 20% oil life expectancy mark (5800 miles on truck). I will change the factory fill to Havoline 5w20 and LC20 when the service due notice comes on. It comes on when the oil life expectancy shows 15%. I bet that will be around 6200 miles or so. You can go further, all the way down to 0%, before the service past due warning starts blinking but I have no intention of letting it go that long.

The manual does not give a mileage number for OCI, rather, it tells you to just go by the OLM for factory fill and all other oil changes and various maintenance items.

2004 Honda Civic VP 23,000 miles, 10,000 mile OCI's and every other oil change, the oil filter is changed,as per Honda oem owners manual web site and shop manual's recommendations.

Mike1qaz: Any problems with your auto trans on that 2001 Accord and is it a 4 cyl. or a 6 cyl.
What kind of transmission maintenance have you done in 154K? Sorry about the

2002 civicex 70,000 miles. whatever 5w20 is available. pennzoil, castrol, mc. m1 used them all, seat of the pants I like castrol gtx for best perfomer. pennzoil for best mileage.
2005 f450 v10 this is a company truck and normally carries about 5k lbs of tools averge change is 200 hours on either pennzoil or castrol gtx 5/20 (non-synthetic) translates to about 5k oci's. currently has 35kmiles on it.

1998 expedition 5.4...mostly motorcraft..130,000 miles no problems.

pbm...Yeah if failed at 112K with 15-20K drain/refills of Honda ATF-Z1. It's an I-4.

I don't believe many 6th Gens will reach 150K with the original autotrans.

I've been doing 7.5K-10K drain/refills since the Honda reman was installed. So far, so good, but....

1992 3.0 Caravan 173k ..variable OCIs (I've really tried to go over 5k ..but lately stuff has been breaking).

Almost 900 miles on my 2006 Mazda 6s V6. Just had her first oil change yesterday.

Castrol GTX that I got on sale.

Next planned change is at 2500 miles, then at 5000 I'm switching to synthetic and doing 5000 OCI.
