5w20 users, Car, Mileage, OCI

I will be picking up an 06 Civic in a week. I have 4 cases of Motorcraft 5w-20 in the basement and will go with a 5000 mile OCI.

Milage down almost 2mpg from Amsoil S2k 0W-30.
Will switch to Amsoil again if they introduce a new
0W-20.

My wifes 2005 Honda Accord 4cy had the Honda oil in until 3,000 miles. I then went to M1 5w-20 and went 10,000 miles with no problem. I use Amsoil in my car, so at 10,000 on my wifes car, I put in Amsoil 5w-20. It seems to run better on the Amsoil. She is at 7,300 miles on the amsoil now.

Totally agree.

Posts like that confirm my decision to switch all future oil from Mobil 1 5W-30 to 5W-20 on my '01 Taurus as correct.

2003 Honda Accord 2.4 litre I-4 - Mobil 1 5w-20 or Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20 - 4000 to 5000 mile OCI (lots of around town driving) - Honda OEM (A02 made by Fram) filters - probably too conservative according to this board. What the heck.

Just started using synthetic and have to do UOAs based on which I will decide the OCI.

I'm running RL 5w-20 in my '02 Suburban. I have 10,000 miles on this change and will be sending a sample in this week. 70,000 total miles and this is the first run of 5w-20.

2005 Mustang GT 6000 miles, have been running Mobil 1 since 1000 miles. Just added a cai and re-flashed the computer, car is a screamer now. I plan on 5k OCI. I also started running FP and LC in all three of my vechiles.

2003 ford ranger, 45k miles, this vehicle has only seen 5w20 oil, OCI 5k including the first factory fill, out of warranty and still using the 5w20

2002 Honda CRV, 31K miles, 0w-20,5w-20, and a few 5w-30 OCI's. Both Synthetic and Dino used. I have Castrol GTX 5w-20 in it now. 3-4 month OCI's.
