Hello. First post. I tried to find a list, used several AI programs, forums, etc., and I cannot find much on this. Quaker State Euro and Castrol Edge Euro are two that I've found that have both API-SP and MS12991. Is there a resource I can use to find all oils that have this specification and are available here in the USA? Do you know of any others?

Thanks. Mike

EDIT: The vehicle it is being applied to is a 2022 Ram 1500 Ltd, 3.0 EcoDiesel, 22K miles.

Besides both having the speciation and license you’re looking for, what else haven’t you found?

I am looking for additional options, other than those listed, so that I can evaluate which I feel is best suited for my engine, the way I use it, review of UOAs for those oils from "my" engine, etc. I would have to imagine that there are more that two or three available and I cannot seem to find a cross reference. Is there something that you feel I should be looking for that I am not?

No, not if feelings and random UOA are your criteria. I don’t think there is a complete published list of oils that meet MS12991. Meeting or exceeding a material specification isn’t the same as having a license or approval with published lists.

I think most people would have understood when I mentioned how I feel about a particular product that I was referring to a decision based in data and facts. I would not rely on a random UOA. Has anyone suggested anything other than meeting or exceeding a material specification IS the same as having a license or approval? Should have gone with my gut based on your last post and just let you type away to your hearts content.
