Anybody else considering?

I can easily keep it under 10,000 miles a year. Not sure I want to deal with installing a charger or changing my home elect plan for at home charging. Honestly, that's what's preventing me from biting the bullet.

no i dont want an ev, same reason i dont know how long i plan on staying in my home to invest in installing an ev charger. even though i could run the circuit and do the installation myself. many would say it would be a possible selling incentive.. also electric rates are JACKED my way.

Keep in mind that the Tesla online calculator is bit deceptive as it defaults to including your 'average monthly fuel savings" into your monthly payment. Make sure you also select adding taxes and all fees in too. In that scenario, a $300 36/month lease payment can actually be in the $500-$600 range.

Check charging, and/or, a charger install cost at your home. Charging away from home can be expensive. Charging at home, means you need to have a charger installed, which can also be expensive. With a home charger, programmed to charge when rates go down, and you may be a good use case. Otherwise, maybe not.

Its saying $387 with $2,500 down all in, you're not wrong. Shame on you Tesla

Years ago, I was always the person going to the dealerships trying to get the lease promos they advertised on TV.

Not really, because my annual fuel costs are only about $500, but I do like learning about the offerings that are made available in 🇨🇦.

So to make it truly $0 down, add about another $70 to the monthly payment, so you're in the $450s. That's still a very competitive lease payment in todays market.

Be careful, sometimes Tesla seems to hose other countries on deals. A couple of years ago Tesla was offering 10k miles or 10k kilometers ( in Canada and Mexico) of free supercharging with new purchases. Well 10k miles is roughly 16k kilometers

Leasing as an individual sounds like a mistake.

Love mine! Favorite car I’ve ever owned! Use a referral link to get 3 months of free FSD ;)

The problem I have now is I can’t imagine not having a Tesla and it’s basically ruined my interest in any other brand of car lol.
My neighbor has a 2018 M3. Loves it. He was fortunate enough to be able to charge it while at work at the hospital. He said he's had no issues. Just tires and brakes.

Is the turnover rate high for EV's? I wonder how many that switch to EV stay with them. The price of used Tesla's is very appealing. I've yet to drive one.

I ask prospective buyers the following:
  • How ya gonna charge and do you have room in your service panel if you need a new circuit?
  • You know these cars are expensive, right?
FYI, the Model 3 fits my use case, but I am a bit of an extreme case. Gas is expensive here and I have solar panels. I can't see myself buying anything else, unless it is a pickup. Heck, I just wasted an hour and $50 getting our GS350 smogged. PITA!

As @buster suggested, perhaps check out the used market; you might do pretty well. You sure can around here!

Have you driven a Rivian or Lucid by chance?
