Was just in at my local Benson Autoparts to get sway-bar links for the Expedition. One of them started to really let go today.

Was walking around and noticed a stack of PL24651 filters for $3.00 each!!!!! So I bought the entire stack, which ended up being six filters total. I bought SIX for the price of what they normally charge for ONE!!

I'm happy

No threaded-end bypass unfortunately, but for the price... I'm not complaining.

PureOnes are typically expensive way up north (ie, Canada).

That is the price of them in Canada, yes. And why I stopped buying them quite some time ago.

Just checked the local Purolator retailer (BI_MART) here in Central Oregon...PureOnes are priced at $5.99... and the Classics are $2.99 ($1 Off).

Purchased a few Classics (10241) at $2.99...to take advantage of the Puro REBATE of $1.50 per filter (through 10/31 @ www.pureoil.com)

Tough to beat that O! Grabbed a few myself at the Kmart $2.99 Labor Day false advertising special, for $3.15 each. Still a deal.

$18 for a PureONE filter up here is downright robbery! Especially considering you can get a Mobil 1 or K&N oil filter up here for a few bucks less than that, and IMO both of these filters are better choices (especially for extended intervals)

True. Though previously, the M1 filters were not available. They are a new arrival. I've yet to pick one up yet however.

The P1 should have been about an $8.00 filter. It wasn't. Which is likely why they are harder to find up here than Hen's teeth.

But I have no problem paying $3.00 for 'em

Yep, that truly is an awesome price! Heck, even a regular Purolator at $3 would be amazing, but the PureONE for that price is unheard of, you lucked out there! Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time eh?

Sure was. Pretty much just roaming the store while I waited for the sales guy to become available and there they were!
