Even the upcoming WRX STI has no extra power over the WRX and doesn’t even come with a manual transmission

Is it really CVT only? I thought it was manual as standard with CVT available as an option, and people were getting angry just because the availability of the CVT was going to tarnish the STI name.

I might have it wrong.
